At Chandler Gilbert Arc we believe that all persons should be provided the opportunity to develop to their fullest potential and are seeking Drivers to help us achieve that belief. As a Driver, you would provide transportation services to individuals with developmental disabilities who are transported by Chandler Gilbert Arc. This position is Part-Time with morning and afternoon shifts available. Responsibilities include:
- Provide safe and reliable transportation to passengers transported by CGArc
- Ensuring all passengers are properly seated and secured in vehicles
- Ensuring people in wheelchairs are safely secured
- Ensuring proper supervision of passengers
- Following all safety protocol including reporting of accidents, following all traffic safety laws, and ensures the safety of all passengers
- Maintains daily trip logs and other related paperwork
Qualifications Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma/GED
- Drivers must have a clean 39 month MVD report and be insurable under agency's insurance
- Possess or ability to possess an Arizona Driver's License
- Ability to obtain an AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card and pass an extensive criminal background check
- Experience working alongside individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of local area addresses and streets, etc preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift individuals (around 35 to 50 lbs) if required
- Operate an agency transport vehicle
- Be physically able to perform First Aid/CPR and Behavioral intervention techniques if required
