Job Role: Lecturer in English (Skills for work and living) Maternity Cover

Location: Stamford College (Maternity cover)
Hours: Full-time with an immediate start 

Are you passionate about teaching English and making a difference in students' lives? Stamford College is seeking a dedicated Functional Skills Lecturer to join their team. This is an immediate start, full-time position.

Role Overview: As a Functional Skills Lecturer, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching to our students. Your responsibilities will include teaching English courses ranging from Entry Level 1 to Level 1, and possibly other related programs. You will contribute to creating successful learning experiences for students, ensuring high levels of retention and achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake teaching activities in the English curriculum area, ensuring high-quality provision in response to learners' needs.
• Develop teaching programs in collaboration with the SfWL Operational Lead, Head of Faculty SEND, and Head of English and Maths.
• Design, develop, manage, and review programs in the curriculum area, working collaboratively with managers and colleagues.
• Attend English and Math specific CPD to enhance teaching effectiveness.
• Provide appropriate feedback on learner progress, including EHCP annual reviews.
• Collaborate with the English and Maths team to develop course materials, schemes of work, and group profiles.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified teacher or willing to work towards qualification.
• Level 5 or higher in relevant subject.
• Previous experience in teaching English or related subjects preferred.
• Excellent differentiation skills to meet a wide range of neurodiverse needs.

Salary: £27,750 - £35,033 (dependent on qualifications and experience)
