The Johnson County Mental Health Center is currently recruiting for  Youth Crisis Stabilization Center (YCSC) Supervisor (Manager II ). This position directs and oversees the operations at the Youth Crisis Stabilization Center within Johnson County Mental Health Center and provides the supervision to the Direct Care Staff assigned to work at YCSC. This position would provide coaching and support to the staff, assist with floor management and client movement, and coordinate with families/state workers/law enforcement during times of medical and behavioral health emergencies. This position would collaborate with the Team Leader and the clinical staff to ensure consistency from the residential floor to the clinical supports provided throughout the week and works with stakeholders (parents, schools, court services, alcohol/drug treatment providers, etc.) to facilitate stabilization.  First review of applications will be on March 8, 2024.

Job duties includes:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work or relevant field; two (2) years’ experience working in behavioral health or relevant field; flexible availability, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.

 

Education can substitute for experience, experience can substitute for education.

 

Master’s Degree in Social Work or relevant field; one (1) year leading, directing, supervising or coordinating the work of others; and licensed as an addiction counselor or other relevant mental health license preferred.

 

Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department/Agency.

 

Physical, Environmental, and Special Working Conditions:

All County employees may be called upon to assist other departments/agencies in a declared emergency situation.
