Job description

The Software Engineer, Billing Systems will write code to facilitate the billing of SecureCom products and services and will be the lead resource on documentation and reporting of billing data.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Software Development or equivalent experience.
• 5 years experience in Software Development, ideally in financial, insurance or medical
• Proficient in the following programming languages: C#, Perl
• Experienced with SQL & Relational Database (preferably SQL Server)
• Proven attention to detail both in code and documentation.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including ability to present to Executive Management.
• Proven customer service and problem solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize, delegate and manage your assignments in order to meet established deadlines.
• Ability to accurately follow detailed instructions.

Responsibilities:

1. 1. Designs, writes, maintains, tests and debugs software that is modular, maintainable, and easy to understand.
   2. Uses JIRA to track projects, provide estimations and monitor progress. Continuously update JIRA as you identify problems, complete tasks and close projects to ensure accurate communication and timely completion of work.
   3. Learns, documents and maintains existing billing software and utilities written in C# and Perl.
   4. Convert existing Perl code to C#.
   5. Engages in team code inspections and supports DMP coding standards.
   6. Works with Accounting department to perform billing audits as required.
   7. Prepares status updates monthly and as needed for Director of Software.
   8. Develops in-depth knowledge of SecureCom Software and its products and services.
   9. Works with multiple groups within the company to retrieve, store, and deliver required financial data.
   10. Provides advice and direction on processes and architecture of new Billing Services.
   11. Provides support to SecureCom API Development team as required.
