CLEARANCE REQUIRED : Active DoD TS/SCI with FS Polygraph

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time, On-site

POSITION SUMMARY

Modern Government Solutions (MGS) is actively seeking an innovative Data Engineer with a passion for exploring cutting-edge technologies that drive satellite operations and launches for a mission-critical IC customer. By joining our dynamic team, you'll be at the forefront of designing, building, and optimizing systems for data collection, storage, access, and analytics at scale. As a valued member of our team, you'll gain hands-on expertise with a variety of the most relevant Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS), Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS), and open-source technologies.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Active Department of Defense (DoD) TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph security clearance.
• Hands-on e xperience with Java, Spark, Scala, Hive, and/ or ETL engineering.
• Experience with working in data ingestion, processing, and distribution .
• Experience in developing and deploying data ingestion, processing, and distribution systems with AWS technologies .
• Experience in working with IC data sets and NoSQL databases, including ElasticSearch and HBase .
• Experience with using AWS datastores, including RDS Postgres, S3, or DynamoDB .
• Knowledge of Jira, Git, Kafka, Kubernetes, OpenShift (OCP), and/ or Docker .

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer.
