Job description

Exhibit and perform Medical Assistant skills, enhancing the doctor/patient relationship within the PFC healthcare offices. Assume an organizational and leadership position, encouraging an optimum environment of communication, performance, and customer service, among fellow employees. A responsible credentialed Medical Assistant, capable of performing and expanding the role of assisting/nursing in the clinic setting. Helping practices meet Quality Payment Program requirements. Communicate with physicians, supporting functions and office employees through regular discussions.

SHIFT AND SCHEDULE
Full Time: M-F 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

• Perform all duties in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Conduct oneself in such a manner that is conducive with a professional office environment
• Dress in such a manner that is conducive with a professional office environment
• Maintain neat and well-ordered work environment
• Assist in the care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies
• Accommodates the various changes in workload by maintaining a flexible personal schedule
• Ensure company is gathering all required data points to maximize our participation for Quality Payment Programs.
• Assist with data collection and appropriate analytical tools, models and processes.
• Participate in the coordination of data analysis required to assess Provider's baseline performance and opportunities.
• Perform special assignments or projects as directed. (Example: gather information, assemble spreadsheets, develop templates).

• Assists in the coordination of operational strategies and activities to ensure the delivery of outstanding quality patient care and services while adhering to regulatory and company guidelines and requirements.
• Triage and assessment of patients
• Perform a variety of administrative duties including but not limited to: answering phones; faxing and filing of confidential documents; and basic Internet and email utilization.
• Responding to patients needs for education, doctor referrals, refill of medications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Texas credentialing certificate in Medical Office Assisting preferred but not required.
• Possess the practical and technical knowledge required for his/her job.
• One to two years office experience preferred but not required.
• Medical Terminology knowledge with the ability to read and understand medical records.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear. Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff. The individual must use an assisted-lift device or get another individual(s) to assist with the lift that is over these maximum limits.
