Electrical Apprenticeship Lab Instructor
Location: Orem, UT
Status: Part-time
Hours: Monday - Thursday 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Pay / Hourly: $30.25
SUMMARY
As the Electrical Apprenticeship Lab Instructor, you will mentor and train apprentice-level electricians in a hands-on lab setting. You will work closely with the program coordinator and other instructors to ensure that lab projects reinforce classroom learning and provide students with the skills required to become excellent electricians. You will also coordinate the use, upkeep and maintenance of the electrical apprenticeship lab.

ELECTRICAL APPRENTICESHIP LAB INSTRUCTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordinating with other apprenticeship instructors in order to schedule lab use and prepare the lab for instruction/projects
Maintaining a list of lab equipment
Repairing and requesting replacement of lab training equipment; attaining new equipment and supply needs for lab
Teaching lab lessons or assisting other instructors in the teaching of lab lessons and the administration of practical tests
Maintaining a clean and orderly lab
Ensuring all lab safety, organizational procedures, and protocols are known and followed by instructors and students
Performing other teaching and lab-based functions as needed.
ELECTRICAL APPRENTICESHIP LAB INSTRUCTOR QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Expert knowledge of electrical curriculum
Electrical degree from accredited college
-OR- licensed Journeyman and Master Electricians are preferred
