An essential function of this position is the ability to work in person and physically report for work on site.
JOB SUMMARY: This position reports to and assists the Chief Internal Auditor in managing the department, including serving as back-up to the Chief Internal Auditor in meetings and situations as needed. The role includes input on Internal Audit Committee meetings, annual audit planning, and the planning and execution of individual audits. The department reports directly to the Internal Audit Committee of the School Board and administratively to the Chief Financial Officer. The department is responsible for the planning and performance of comprehensive and recurring audits in financial, operational, and instructional areas to provide assurance that the School Divisions objectives are being met. Specific objectives of audits may include the reliability and integrity of information obtained, compliance with policies, plans, procedures, laws, and regulations; the safeguarding of assets; the economical use of resources; the efficiency and effectiveness of operations; the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes; and the accomplishment of the established objectives and goals for operations or programs.
Job Description
SALARY: Effective January 1, 2024:
Grade 16: $94,784 - $181,615 per year (competitive benefits)
DAYS: 250
