Job Title: IT Support Specialist
Department: IT Support Reports To: IT Support Manager Salary Range: $40,000 - $50,000 annually Job Summary: The IT Support Specialist provides help desk support to end users, troubleshoots hardware and software issues, performs basic network administration, and provides excellent customer service. This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills. Core Responsibilities: - Provide tier 1 technical support for desktop/laptop computers, mobile devices, printers, applications, network connectivity, VPN, etc. - Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and other technical issues. Identify root cause of issues and implement appropriate solutions. - Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners. - Manage user accounts, permissions, email, antivirus, and other end user needs. - Remotely assist users via phone, email, remote control tools. - Document details of issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions thoroughly in ticketing system. - Escalate complex issues to Tier 2/3 as needed. - Create knowledge base articles and end user training materials. - Adhere to IT policies, procedures, and documentation standards. - Provide after hours on-call rotation support. - Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: - 2+ years recent help desk, desktop support, or similar experience - Excellent knowledge of Windows 10, Office 365, TCP/IP, Active Directory - Strong troubleshooting skills for desktop/laptop, network connectivity, hardware, etc. - Experience with remote access tools - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills - Great customer service orientation with patience and empathy - Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment Preferred Qualifications: - Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science or related field - IT certifications such as A+, Network+, MCP - Familiarity with common enterprise applications and systems - Basic scripting skills - Experience in hospitality or healthcare industries The IT Support Specialist position plays a crucial role in providing excellent end user support and customer service.
