Job description
As a Macaron team member, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our pastry items, while working closely with the Pastry Supervisor. We are looking to expand our macaron department with creative talent that has professional experience making macarons.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include preparing quality macaron shells, ganache, any other item needed for production. Matching shells, filling.
- Check production schedule and par. Establish priority items to do.
- Organize and maintain FIFO product in the freezer.
- Ensure the organization of the walk-in freezer
- Organize all ganache and items for macaron production.
- Ensure that all production is enough to fill orders.
- Maintain adequate par levels and ensure no flavor is being overproduced.
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct use of equipment; use equipment and tools only as intended, properly and safely.
- Inform a manager of any supplies that need to be requisitioned.
- Maintain proper storage procedures as specified by Health Department and Common Bond requirements.
- Additional duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
- Food Handler’s Certification
- Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Ability to work as part of a team and cultivate a culture of teamwork
- Ability to stand up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to multitask
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays

FLSA Status: Hourly Non-exempt
