Job description
Position Overview: The Superintendent will be responsible for the successful completion of all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. The Superintendent will be involved in all aspects of the project by ensuring the timely completion of all tasks, managing the personnel and resources allocated to the project, and executing the highest quality standards, while adhering to safety and budget requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the safety, quality, and progress of the project from start to finish
• Manage and assign tasks to subcontractors and other personnel assigned to the project
• Monitor and manage the project budget and schedule
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations
• Train personnel on safety precautions and proper use of tools and equipment
• Ensure that all materials are ordered and maintained in an organized and secure fashion
• Track the progress of the project using the provided tracking system
• Work with Project Managers to identify and resolve any issues that arise
• Coordinate the successful completion of the project on schedule and within budget
• Perform regular site inspections to ensure quality and adherence to safety regulations
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in the construction field
• Proven experience as a Superintendent for commercial, specialty contractor, subcontractor, multifamily, hotel, high rise, stucco, mid rise, paint, drywall, exterior, interior, construction, senior communities, Division 09, student housing projects
• OSHA 10 and 30 or higher certification
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
