Job description

The Controller plays a pivotal role in our organization and is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, including but not limited to accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable departments. The Controller is also charged with administering impactful strategic financial decisions in support of our organization’s overall financial health.
Core Responsibilities: 

• Maintain an accounting system of polices, procedures and guidelines to follow.  Implement controls to minimize risk. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
• Oversee the production of required reports and ensure they meet accounting guidelines and principles. Collaborate with auditors and provide needed information as requested.  Produce annual reporting, budgets, and forecasting.
• Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures
• Support and establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on biweekly, monthly, and annual basis
• Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows
• Oversee, engage support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity

Key Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or equivalent required
• Related experience required, five years minimum
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and accounting guidelines
• Must be proficient in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Enterprise accounting software.
• A valuable record of improving financial results
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency
• Ability to make sound and effective decisions in keeping in company vales
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• E xceptional communication skills, both written and verbally
• Analyzing Information
• Advanced knowledge in accounting principles and concepts
• Attention to Detail
• Confidentiality
