Job Details:
Type: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Length: 12 months; Temp to hire opportunity.
Pay: $25.00/hour
Shift/Hours: Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM; Occasional overtime on the Saturdays.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
1+ years of machine setup and operating experience
Mechanical experience/knowledge required
Basic computer skills
Description:
Individual will perform machine setup and/or run machinery, consistent with current ISO requirements, safety requirements, and 5-S requirements.
Read calipers and CMC prints understanding dimensions to .000.
Fill out paperwork (quality forms, daily inspections forms etc.)
Use hand tools (air guns, wrenches, drill press, etc.)
Operate one or more machines as required.
Understand machine controls (start, stop, E-stop, etc.)
Perform setup inspection before releasing job to an operator to run.
Ensure the operator is knowledgeable of the:
Proper operation of the machine
Any safety devices and safety rules
Proper handling of the product
Type and frequency of inspections
Perform first piece verification per department requirements.
Past problems or experiences with the subject part (Quality Alert)
Participate in corrective action process
Document scrap
The proper documentation of shop orders, drawings, inspection charts, and move tags
Make adjustments to a setup, change drill and taps to ensure continued conformance to specifications.
Training of new or temporary employees.
May assign operators to jobs.
Other duties as directed by supervisor.
Know the proper way of using the scheduling board.
Know where the shop order staging shelf is located per department.
Know how to review the set-up card.
Demonstrate how to check the part and record the information on the inspection chart.
