Description/Other Details

• Cases: All open heart cases, including CABG, AVR, MVR, Cric. Arrest, Thoracic, and vascular.
• Schedule: 10-hour shifts Monday to Friday, 6 am to 4 pm
• No weekends
• No call at this point
• 300 CV cases last year. Expecting an increase in CV volume this year.
• One location
• One Fellow from UC Davis
• Growing heart program with one new CV surgeon.

Duties

• Experience: 2-5 years
• Ability to harvest veins endoscopically
• Assist in Surgery, pre and post
• Patient Census daily 10-25
• 2 Hearts per day, 3-4 in surgery per day
• Round with physician, prep patient
• Consults if needed
