Job description

The Dermatology Department at theUniversity of Virginia School of Medicine seeks an energetic investigator to join its research platform. Candidates with interest in oncology, targeted therapies, immunology, epidemiologyand cell biology are particularly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be provided with a start-up package c ommensurate with experience and the goals of the investigator. Time allocation is also negotiable but will range from 50-80% time in the pursuit of research interests.

The University of Virginia Department of Dermatology, founded in 1924, is the oldest dermatology department in the South. Its mission is to enrich the quality of human life by improving health, to produce excellent and compassionate care for our patients, to advance the field of dermatology, to seek medical and scientific knowledge, and to create an environment for professional preparation of individuals dedicated to health care service in the field of Dermatology.

Qualified candidates must have an MD and be ABMS board-certified or board-eligible in dermatology. Candidates dually board certified or board eligible in dermatopathology also encouraged to apply. Potentially one day a week performing dermatopathology available. Must be eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Rank is dependent on qualifications, experience, scholarly achievement, clinical service, and research.
