Mechanical Design Engineer (open to entry level)
Salary: $65k - $85k + 10% bonus 
Location: Mon - Fri onsite in Janesville, WI
Requirements: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering + 2 years of mechanical design + manufacturing exposure

With several years of over 50% growth our Design team is rapidly growing and we're hiring multiple Design Engineers for our team. We're hiring from Design Engineer I to Design Engineer IV , who are hungry and ready to make an impact!

What You Will Be Doing

Reporting to the Design Engineering Manager you lead design projects for heavy sheet metal based products (70% custom/30% high volume) from customer intake up to production: 

- Initial intake with customers to scope projects and create proposals
- Design products for manufacturability 
- Prepare BOM and develop Manufacturing Process flow
- Support material sourcing, selection and purchasing
- Oversee manufacturing/production process to ensure products are built to design

What You Need for this Position

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or 2 years of design experienced (ideally focused on sheet metal based products) in addition to exposure to: 
- DFM
- Manufacturing background
- BOM development
- CAD (Ideally, Autodesk Inventor)
- Material sourcing
- FEA
- Tolerancing 

If you don't have a sheet metal background, but are a strong Designer with excellent customer facing skills, we'd still love to talk to you!
