Construction Services Technician

As a Construction Services Technician at GFA, you will be a part of a growing team working on projects that have tangible impacts on the communities and clients we help.

Responsibilities:

• Perform construction observation and documentation for road, bridge, utility and private site development projects.
• Perform material testing such as concrete testing, sieve analysis, HMA, soil and aggregate density testing, soil bearing capacity testing, HMA sampling, infiltration testing and more.
• Prepare Inspector's Daily Reports to document daily construction activities and record construction quantities.
• Serve as GFA's on-site representative for construction projects and maintain communication with the project team
• Prepare written testing reports

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail and judgement capabilities
• Valid drivers license
• High school diploma
• U.S. Citizen
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• A minimum of 1 year experience in civil construction or material testing and construction observation
• Michigan Department of Transportation experience and certifications is preferred
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Ability to work outside
