Maintenance Mechanic - Carrollton, TX
The Maintenance Mechanic provides coverage for IFF’s Manufacturing Facility. This position will overlap with the day shift and will focus on completing maintenance and Facilities tasks that cannot be completed when the building is fully occupied. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
About you:
As the Maintenance Mechanic, you should have a broad knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and general facility repairs and possess a minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Candidate must have strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to react to issues and emergencies. You should also be comfortable inspecting the work of the contractors and directing any improvements in services.
Job Requirements:
As the Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventative and scheduled maintenance throughout the facility, focusing on those tasks that are best performed when the building is not fully occupied. You will perform room set-ups in preparation for the following day’s events. You will also be the eyes and ears of the Maintenance Supervisor and the Facility Manager regarding off-shift contractor operations to ensure they meet IFF standards and expectations.
