Responsibilities for this Position ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
Seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to become an integral member of the engineering team dedicated to the development of military-grade electronics and electronic warfare (EW) systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze and design analog and digital electronic circuits including analog signal conditioning, DC-DC power conversion, and communication interfaces
- Integrate, test, troubleshoot, and verify electrical hardware
- Develop test criteria and assist in the design of test systems
- Perform component and architecture trade studies to determine optimal system solutions to design hardware and electronics based on commercial and industry components and technologies
- Design cable assemblies
- Develop new electronics in the form of PCB designs and corresponding tests
- Develop technical presentations, recommendations, and written communications to explain technical issues to program management and the Navy customer
- Generate design and interface documentation
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience with the engineering development life cycle, including concept, requirements, design, implementation, and test phases
- Experience with design and debug of switch mode DC-DC converters including knowledge of control loop stability analysis
- Working knowledge of common communication interfaces such as RS-422, RS-485, and LVDS
- Experience in analog and digital circuit design
- Experience with lab equipment including signal generators, high speed oscilloscopes, and digital logic analyzers
- Proficiency in all phases of PCB design, including: creation of high-level functional and architectural diagrams, SPICE analysis, power analysis, component selection, schematic entry (OrCAD Capture experience a plus), and working with the PCB layout team to optimize placement, signal integrity, fitment, etc.
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Experience with firmware or microcontrollers a plus
- Experience with VHDL/Verilog a plus
- Familiarity with RF concepts a plus

Combined Salary Range USD $104,922.00 - USD $116,397.00 /Yr.
