Description
SWWS utilizes CATIA & SolidWorks 3D modeling and drawing tools as the primary design desktop CAD system for mechanical design. Document, Upgrade or Develop tooling and test equipment by means of Reverse Engineering, Analysis and validation will be required for the current tooling used in the production environment each item with a different level of support needed as requested. Documenting and auditing existing Tooling on the production floor.

What are the expected outcomes for the internship?
•Properly created Tooling and test equipment documents in SolidWorks or Catia
•Register Existing Tooling and test equipment in internal Databases
•Improve/Upgrade tooling/fixtures in order to reduce the assembly time and testing

What types of training will be conducted during the internship?
•SolidWorks, CATIA and Smarteam training as required
•8D Problem Solving training
•3D model and drawing review
•Electrical Design and/or test equipment fabrication/ development process

How will educational and professional growth opportunities be facilitated?
•The experienced gained during the WWS Internship is applicable to a broad spectrum of industries (aerospace, automotive, Mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineer, among others)

Job Requirements

Intern (candidate)
oAble to work the full 6-month program, 20-40 hours per week
oJunior or Senior Undergraduate Engineering student preferred, recent grads also accepted
oSome SolidWorks and/or Smarteam and/or CATIA and/or LabView experience beneficial
oHighly detail oriented: able to correctly interpret complex, tabulated specifications and able to meticulously follow modeling, data entry and related process requirements
oHands-on mechanical and/or electrical skills required
oAble to read/understand electrical schematics
