Adecco is working with a medical device manufacturer in Newton, MA. They are currently looking for ambitious Principal Systems Engineer professional to join our Endovascular Robotics business within the Advanced Therapies business line. We are a global technology leader in robotic-assisted vascular interventions. We believe a combination of endovascular robotics, image guidance, and dedicated devices will significantly impact how neurovascular procedures will be performed in the future, and we remain focused on bringing value to customers and patients. This role is hybrid with an in office requirement of at least 3 days per week.
This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Technical leadership within the systems engineering function
Determination of system design inputs based on customer and other stakeholder needs
Leadership of product definition for key parts of the program
Architectural decision making and decision making process
Establishment of systems engineering best-practices and processes
Supporting requirements definition and risk management

Interpretation of customer/stakeholder needs into product requirements
Development of novel medical device technologies to target unaddressed market needs
Driving architecture to meet business and technical goals and constraints
Working with a requirements management tool such as Helix ALM/TestTrack, Doors, Jama, etc.
Risk management methodologies (Hazard Analysis, DFMEA, UFMEA, PFMEA), per ISO 14971
Planning and executing verification and validation of medical devices
Working with project execution/management tools such as MS Project and Azure DevOps
Working on complex electromechanical medical device programs from the development through verification and validation phases
Experience with compliance and product safety engineering for medical device products per IEC 60601-1 and other applicable standards
Development of medical device software in compliance with IEC 62304, and working on a medical device with complex software or software as a medical device
Required skills to have for the success of this role:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required in engineering discipline, such as Systems, Biomedical, Robotics, Software, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
10+ years relevant technical experience in the medical device industry (medical/surgical robotics experience preferred)
