LOCATION: Work is 100% on-site primarily at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) facility in Germantown, Maryland .
Global Engineering and Technology (GET) is seeking to fill two (2) positions , each for an experienced and certified DOE Classification or Declassification Analyst with a physical science degree (i.e., physics, nuclear engineering, chemistry, etc.) to serve as a Technical Guidance Analyst in the DOE's Office of Classification. Join GET in providing the United States Government with national defense-related support of the highest standard. Duties:
- Under the direction of a Senior Technical Guidance Analyst (STGA), the Technical Guidance Analyst will be trained to assist with the preparation of classification guidance and classification/declassification policy documents in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, DOE orders, and DOE procedures for RD, FRD, NSI, and UCNI
- The Technical Guidance Analyst also analyzes information to determine whether the material is classified or unclassified but sensitive
Compensation:
- Yearly compensation will be between $105,000 and $145,000 (depending on qualifications)
Requirements
Security Clearance:
- This position requires an active Top Secret security clearance or DOE Q security clearance; additionally, the applicant must have the ability to qualify for, and maintain, an SCI clearance as a condition of continued employment
Skills and Experience:
- Candidates must be certified as a Derivative Classifier (DC) to qualify for this position
- Candidates currently possessing DOE Broad Area Derivative Classification Authority are highly desired
- The individual should ideally have at least one (1) year of experience conducting classification reviews in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, DOE orders, and DOE Office of Classification (OC) procedures for RD, FRD, NSI, and UNCI
- This position requires the ability to write concise technical subject matter guidance
- Must be able to read and understand written English at or above academic grade 15

Education:
- This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a physical science from an accredited college or university
