Job description
Duties & Responsibilities:
As a manager, this role will oversee the work of direct report employees, including Project Managers, Business Analysts, and other functional specialists.
With the primary responsibility of hiring and managing a team of employees necessary to support the needs of the organization and the business application users.
Key Responsibilities of the Business Applications Manager include:
- Establishing proper project management methodologies, procedures, and standards to complete projects on-time and within budget.
- Maintain and coordinate the business functional, technical and project requirements for current implementation, functionality expansion and future continual upgrade projects.
- Leading the development, implementation, and strategic vision of IT business applications and enterprise systems to support manufacturing, operations, and the overall organization.
- Manage the business software applications and providing end user training and support.
- Analyze current system processes and design functional requirements with a goal of continual process improvement.
- Work with the Business Application team members to establish plans ensuring the team meets company goals and objectives.
- Work collaboratively with other functional areas including, but not limited to Finance, Production, and Supply Chain.
The skills and experience you ll need:
- 5 plus years of experience working with ERP applications, such as SAP & Microsoft Dynamics.
- Experience with software implementation/upgrade projects and understanding of the SDLC.
- Managing a small applications team and being hands on involved with short-term and long-term vision and strategy.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with other departments at Meissner as well as parties external to the organization.
