Job description
Role: Electrical Engineer I
Location: Sylmar, CA - 91342
Duration: 12 Months on W2 (Possible extension)
Shift Timings: 8 AM to 5 PM
Skills Looking For:
- The project involves working within Client hardware development group, focusing on alternate source components for implantable medical devices such as pacemakers and defibrillators.
- Expertise in electrical engineering, particularly in the areas of Python, C++, and LabVIEW.
- Experience with medical device development or similar fields is advantageous.
- Keywords: Python, C++, LabVIEW, electrical engineering, medical devices, hardware development, implantable devices, circuit evaluation, component testing.
- Day-to-day Responsibilities: responsible for evaluating and testing components, writing test plans and reports, and developing test code software. They will also learn about the circuits and components within the devices and collaborate closely with R&D teams.
- The role involves learning on the job, including reverse engineering components and understanding the device's circuitry. Mentorship and training will be provided, making it suitable for entry-level candidates.
- Candidates with extensive experience beyond entry-level roles may be considered overqualified, as the role is primarily focused on learning and development within the organization.
Education and Level of Experience:
- Bachelor's or master's degrees in electrical engineering.
- Recent graduates with internship experience are encouraged to apply.
- 0 to 2 years experience.
Top 3 Skills:
- Understanding of electrical engineering principles and circuitry
- Proficiency in Python and/or C++
- Experience with LabVIEW
- All the above skills can be obtained while working on school projects/internships/co-op.
Interview Process:
- One to two rounds of panel video interviews focusing on technical and soft skills.
- Evaluating candidates' communication abilities, problem-solving skills, and adaptability to the team dynamic.
