Job description

Position: Community Health Nurse
Location: Cheverly, MD

Shift: 8:00 am-4:30 pm

Float to: Maternal and Child Health Center of Laurel, Laurel, MD 20707. (20 Miles Away from Cheverly Health Center)



The Applicant will perform the following duties for all patients, regardless of medical history, age, race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or gender in a clinical setting:

• Collect and record routine health data, including vital signs, on assigned clients along with administering state-required immunizations
• Record routine data and care provided on appropriate documents in the EHR;
• Adhere to local, State, and federal guidelines and regulations regarding client confidentiality and privacy rights
• Comply with all local, State, and federal guidelines and regulations governing registered nursing practice
• Must be able to use a computer proficiently (i.e., Microsoft, EHR, Internet, etc.)
• Able to register and schedule clients according to guidelines given in training;
• Responsible for conducting Financial Interviews, collecting payments, posting payments in EHR and completing all administrative activities.
• Attend all assigned trainings, seminars, and conferences;
• Contributing member in a multidisciplinary treatment team
• Must be flexible and able to travel between locations if required

Credentials:

• RN licensure in the State of Maryland
• BLS
• 2 Professional References
