WORK WEEK SCHEDULE

Monday-Friday Position is available for a Hybrid Telework workweek

 

POSITION PURPOSE:

Prepares Board materials and coordinates the submittal process of Facilities department documents for the Wake County Board of Education meetings. Manages the Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) data input process for the Capital Building Program and disseminates information as requested by the HUB (Historically Underutilized Businesses) program manager. Provides support and assistance to the Director of Facilities, Information Systems by performing data collection and entry for various spreadsheets and databases for capital building program projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Coordinate the preparation of Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) board documents for the Facilities department by reviewing, editing and managing documents required for each board date.
  2. Manage Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) data for more than 100 projects in the Capital Building Program and enter contract and minority participation information for formal and informal construction into HUBSCO (Historically Underutilized Businesses/ State Construction Offices) Construction Reporting System in compliance with the reporting requirements as required by North Carolina state law.
  3. Maintain contact information for MBE vendors; send email notifications about upcoming purchasing and/or contract opportunities as requested by the HUB (Historically Underutilized Businesses) program manager.
  4. Assist the Supervisor for Information Systems by performing data generation and entry into various spreadsheets and databases in support of the capital building program.
  5. Serve as a backup to other office staff responsible for data research, data entry, or other processing/secretarial functions.
  6. Performs other related duties, as assigned.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, scanners, and copiers. The position, at times, must be able to come into direct contact with school system staff and staff members of external funding agencies, and the community. Work is considered light physical work, requiring the exertion of up to ten pounds of force.
