Job description
Pruitt Tool & Supply, Co. is currently seeking candidates for a Senior Design Engineer at our corporate offices in Fort Smith, AR.
We are an API Q1 Quality Management Certified company and we manufacture/refurbish specialized drilling equipment used in the oil and gas industry.
We are seeking candidates to provide strategic leadership to the Engineering Department by serving as a visionary with the ability to assist with day-to-day operations. Incumbent for this position will:
- Oversee the work of Design Engineers by helping them direct their work
- Provide technical knowledge on matters pertaining to Engineering Principles
- Ensure all designs, plans, drawings, etc. are in compliance with Q1 Quality Standards
- Oversee the design and development of new products from conception through production
- Utilize creative thinking skills to design/re-design equipment
- Analyze test results and propose changes based on data output
Position requires:
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
- Preferred candidates will have Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degrees
- Preferred candidates will have a Professional Engineer's License
- 10 years experience in product design
- 5 years experience in a supervisory/management role
- Strong CAD skills
- A thorough understanding of mechanical stress calculations
- The ability to apply industry standards to equipment design
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Strong computer skills
