About the Position:
This position is responsible for supporting manufacturing process and product quality by learning Goodyear standards and procedures in cooperation with more experienced personnel. The incumbent seeks solutions to problems, conducts assigned work tasks & exhibits an entry level of knowledge.
Responsibilities:
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY
- Improve and enhance technical solutions to meet product requirements.
- Understand available technology and standards.
- Consult with leadership on appropriate level of technology for application.
- Work on cross-functional teams to develop new technology.
- Avoid inappropriate level of risk.
- Make improvements or enhancements to current processes within functional group.
- Demonstrate ability to present technical ideas to others across teams.
- Drive new product concepts, processes, and technologies leading to innovations.
PROBLEM SOLVING
- Recognize and identify problems. Improve and enhance problem solving strategies.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Improve and enhance project management tools and standards of execution for assigned projects.
- Execute the steps required in initiating a project.
- Deliver project objectives through project planning.
- Offer enhancements that can be cross functional, divisional, or global in application.
- Continuously improve on using the project risk management process to drive higher levels of risk management.
- Enhance existing project execution tools and techniques to deliver projects.
- Improve project closeout process.
- Enhance and improve existing conflict resolution process.
- Seek assistance when needed to resolve conflicts
Education
- Bachelors degree in Science/Technology/Engineering/Math Required
- Experience or certifications in the application of Quality control systems, problem solving and project management tools preferred
Experience:
- 0 or more years experience required.
- Demonstrated ability to apply systematic problem solving tools and techniques
- Demonstrated ability to understand and troubleshoot equipment and process problems
Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrate a positive attitude. Actively participate in meetings, in a supporting role. Initiate open dialogue with peers and leadership on areas of concern. Select best means of communication. Provide compelling technical direction and logical conclusions within the function, both written and oral.
