Forest Acres Post Acute is a beautiful 132-bed skilled nursing and Rehab facility conveniently located in Forest Drive, Columbia, South Carolina. We work together as a team in our family orientated environment and due to continued growth, we are looking to expand our staff to allow for the highest level of care and functioning for our residents in our two large therapy gymnasiums.

We're looking for a passionate and experienced Director of Rehabilitation to support our Therapy team. This position requires effective management skills along with good communication skills for interdepartmental relationships and requires competency in therapy discipline for evaluation, assessment, care planning and treatment. The Director of Rehab will be required to have a bachelor's degree in either Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathology with an active South Carolina license.

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathology.
• Experience with PCC preferred
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist and or Speech Language Therapist in the State of South Carolina.
• Must meet continue education requirements per SC state practices.
• Must maintain a license in good standing at all times with the state board.
• CPR certification
• Experience in LTC/Rehab setting
• Competency in therapy discipline for evaluation, assessment, care planning and treatment.
• Leadership experience and a desire to lead by example.

Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) is responsible for the day to day activities in the rehabilitation department. This includes but is not limited to the delivery of direct and indirect services to in-patients and out-patients, supervision of all therapy personnel, interviewing and recommending new hires, and training of all therapy personnel. The DOR is responsible for implementation of new programs to meet the needs of the facility and the residents. Is delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out all assigned duties to provide both clinical and operational oversight to the delivery of rehabilitative services.
