Job description

Position Overview:
As a Leisure Travel Advisor, you will be responsible for creating memorable travel experiences for clients seeking leisure and vacation opportunities. You will work closely with clients to understand their preferences, interests, and budget constraints to craft customized travel itineraries that exceed their expectations.

Responsibilities:
1.    Client Consultation: Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their travel preferences, including destination preferences, budgetary constraints, travel dates, special requirements, and any specific interests or activities they wish to pursue.
2.    Itinerary Planning: Utilize your expertise and industry knowledge to design personalized travel itineraries tailored to meet the individual needs and desires of clients. This includes selecting suitable destinations, accommodations, transportation options, activities, and attractions.
3.    Destination Knowledge: Stay updated on travel trends, destination information, visa requirements, travel advisories, and other relevant travel-related information to provide informed recommendations and guidance to clients.
4.    Booking Arrangements: Coordinate and make all necessary travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, transportation, tours, excursions, and travel insurance, ensuring seamless logistics for clients.
5.    Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire travel planning process, from initial inquiry to post-trip follow-up. Address any concerns or issues that may arise before, during, or after the trip to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
6.    Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, travel suppliers, hotels, airlines, and other industry partners to secure competitive rates, exclusive perks, and special amenities for clients.
7.    Sales and Marketing: Actively promote travel packages, special promotions, and exclusive offers to attract new clients and generate repeat business. Participate in marketing initiatives, networking events, and travel expos to expand the client base and increase brand awareness.
8.    Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, bookings, payments, and other relevant information using travel management software or CRM systems. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and data protection standards.

Requirements:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
•    Previous experience in leisure travel planning, preferably in a travel agency or tour operator setting.
•    Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
•    Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
•    Proficiency in travel booking systems, reservation software, and Microsoft Office suite.
•    In-depth knowledge of popular travel destinations, attractions, and cultural nuances.
•    Familiarity with travel industry regulations, policies, and best practices.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
•    Certification from recognized travel industry organizations (e.g., ASTA, IATA) is a plus.
