Job description

We are looking for an assertive, ambitious, kind, and outgoing team member to begin working full-time for our fast-growing plaintiffs’ personal injury law firm. Job duties primarily will include setting up, monitoring, and managing clients' cases in an attempt to settle them without filing a lawsuit. The right candidate will work within a team of one associate lawyer, a litigation paralegal, and either of the firm's partners on each case. We use FileVine as a case management system and various software automation to make our team's lives easier. We're a mostly paperless firm. Pre-Litigation Paralegals at our firm can perform most or all of this job remotely. However, we like our Team to be present in the office at least in a hybrid fashion until they are fully trained and proven, and then they can become fully remote if they wish. Compensation: $60,000 annually + quarterly performance bonuses Responsibilities: • Talking with clients. • Ordering medical records. • Investigating incidents. • Ordering investigative documents. • Drafting letters. • Speaking & negotiating with insurance adjusters. • Collecting evidence from clients and third parties. • Writing settlement demands. • Redacting medical records. • Negotiating and notifying subrogation interests. • Coordinating medical referrals for clients. • Arranging medical financing for clients. • Finalizing accounting statements at case ending. Qualifications: • Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills • Talented communicator and writer • Empathy for personal injury victims. Compensation: $60,000 yearly + bonuses
