Why You’ll Love This Position

You will be joining a team of professionals dedicated to protecting public health at contaminated sites across the state. This team evaluates potential health risks from exposure to hazardous substances in the environment, makes health-protective recommendations regarding actions needed to reduce any potential risks, and educates communities about the possible health effects of exposure to those hazardous substances. In addition to the program team, you will work with state and national partners including the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, and many others. This is a technical position responsible for research, investigation, and scientific evaluation of potential health risks. We are seeking a professional with the ability to independently review, evaluate, and synthesize environmental sampling data and chemical toxicity data and the ability to communicate complex scientific information clearly to lay audience in both written and verbal forms.
