Job Description:
Webb Auto Group is seeking a part-time Building Maintenance Assistant to join our team at our stores in Highland and Merrillville, Indiana. This role reports to the Maintenance Manager and requires experience in various maintenance areas, including commercial electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general repair work. While experience with forklifts and heavy equipment is desirable, it is not a mandatory requirement.
Essential Duties:
- Ensure the maintenance of building interior and exterior areas.
- Complete repairs based on work orders or instructions from the Maintenance Manager.
- Organize, file, and track paperwork associated with work orders, entering information into the work order system.
- Collaborate with staff and other managers to identify and address problems.
- Work with contractors to ensure project completion and compliance.
- Safely operate equipment and tools.
- Maintain on-site stock of maintenance items.
- Assist with snow removal and exterior landscaping when necessary.
- Maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and pneumatic systems in the building.
- Maintain equipment located in the shop.
- Perform other assigned tasks.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Ensure compliance and safety with all on-site equipment.
