Job description
Catalyx is seeking an experienced OSI PI Engineer with extensive knowledge in the AVEVA suite of products and services to join our team and work on our customer site in Michigan.

The Role :
Catalyx is a trusted partner in delivering world-class lifecycle services to regulated and high-risk end markets. As part of this commitment, we are continuously developing our on-site teams to support the advancement of customer operations.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years hands-on experience in the life sciences industry, integrating and optimizing Aveva OSI PI systems
Responsibilities :
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to OSI PI and AVEVA systems including
- Compression settings
- Tag list management
- Interface creation
- Connecting collection nodes to additional core systems (i.e. sending collected data to a Dev/Sandbox system for offline/non-validated testing of AF/EFG/RTR configurations before replicating in Prod)
- Batch End Report creation in RTR
- Event Frame Generator configuration
- Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation including
- Technical/Hands-on training of back-end tasks
- Compression settings
- Tag list management
- Interface creation
- Connecting collection nodes to additional core systems (i.e. sending collected data to a Dev/Sandbox system for offline/non-validated testing of AF/EFG/RTR configurations before replicating in Prod)
- Front-end user facing configuration
- PI Vision dashboards/features (particularly in relating Vision to Aspen IP21 dashboard features)
- RTReports configuration/generation
- Collaborate with IT, engineering, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of OSI PI systems with other enterprise applications.
- Advise on best practices for OSI PI data infrastructure and architecture.
Skills and Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience with OSI PI systems in the life sciences industry.
- Proficient in the AVEVA suite of products and services, with proven project experience.
- Strong understanding of life sciences industry regulations, such as GAMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, etc.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Certifications related to OSI PI or AVEVA products desirable.
- Experience with cloud platforms and services desirable.
- Familiarity with advanced analytics, AI, or machine learning in the context of OSI PI data desirable.
