Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Project LIFE Program Manager, the Outreach Coordinator is responsible for the development of outreach and screening materials, as well as formal partnering agencies and other community service providers, on the issue of human trafficking and specific issues affecting victims/survivors. Additionally, the Outreach Coordinator will provide comprehensive services to victims/survivors, including information regarding crime victims' rights, crisis stabilization, safety planning, victim advocacy, and service planning in support of recovery and self-sufficiency as well as therapeutic services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work or related field with minimum of two years providing case management, supportive services and/or housing specific services OR work experience in housing-related support services required ; Master's degree in behavioral health with BBS registration (ASW, AMF, APCC) preferred.
- Multi-lingual or Bi-lingual strongly preferred, with strong preference given to English/Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Maintain strong partnerships with law enforcement, probation, runaway and homeless youth shelters, Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP), domestic violence providers, schools, and other community based
- Conduct street outreach to assist with identification of human trafficking victims through engagements in hotspots identified in the
- Responsible for leading community efforts to enhance the prevention, identification and response to suspected and identified victims of human
- Assist community members and partners with identification of human trafficking victims and provide immediate in-person outreach and connection to supportive
- Work with community partners to establish and implement a streamlined response/referral process for human trafficking survivors
- Attend applicable community meetings/trainings to gather updated research/trends on human trafficking, responsible for presenting the updated research and new trends to program staff
- Maintain relationships with local human trafficking service agencies

- Facilitate prevention groups for at-risk youth populations
- Co-Facilitate survivor-led HT support groups
- Maintain accurate records of outreach provided in compliance with funding requirements and objectives
- Maintain accurate case records and program statistics in compliance with funding requirements and objectives
- Follow all legal and ethical guidelines pertaining to the treatment of youth and families, per state and county requirements (e.g., Child Abuse Report, Duty to Warn, Confidentiality, Grievance Procedures, and Serious Incident Reporting).

- 40 hours a week- Monday - Friday- Flexible hours- may include evenings and weekends.

- BA- (24.15 - 26.56 ) MA + BBS ( 34.50 - 37.95 ) + Bilingual pay. Salary will commensurate with experience and education. EEO.
Additional Requirement
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation with a good driving record.
- Willing to use own, properly insured, reliable vehicle for the job (mileage reimbursed).
- Employment subject to clearances, including background finger printing checks, driving record, tuberculosis testing, and drug testing.
