Shurm Homes seeks an Assistant Project Manager/Project Manager for the Construction Department to provide an exceptional quality build and excellent customer service to new home buyers. The right candidate will build multiple homes from clearing to closing, managing all aspects of the job site relating to home construction while maximizing quality and profit and communicating directly with customers and subcontractors using Mark Systems/IHMS.

Responsibilities:
- Works under the supervision of the Sr. Project Manager to build multiple homes.
- Manages all aspects of the job site including cleanliness and quality.
- Interfacing with public agencies in obtaining all necessary inspections.
- Oversee field operations, production times, and quality control so all homes meet the Shurm Homes standard and are ready for homeowner orientations/occupancy.
- Schedule subcontractors on-site to meet provided schedules completing homes in time for closing date/occupancy ensuring all homes are built to plans/specs and contractual obligations are satisfied.
- Ensure that the subcontractors and job site is meeting all safety standards in accordance with OSHA and state regulations.
- Know applicable building codes to meet construction standards.
- Develop and review performance of all subcontractors.
- Oversee data entry in IHMS/Mark Systems and complete checklists/reports as it relates to home construction.
- Hold subcontractors responsible for daily clean-up.
- Conduct inspections after each trade is complete to authorize payments.
- Complete homeowner walk-through, punch-lists, meet closing dates, and obtain C.O. from localities.
- Customer service oriented- must be patient, professional, and courteous.
- Self-starter with great organizational skills and time management skills.
- Work Nights/Weekends as needed to be available for homeowner emails/calls.
Requirements:
- Four-year college or university degree; or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have a reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license, and be willing to travel.
- IHMS/Mark Systems experience a plus.
- Currently working for a new home builder.
