Description
Computer Technician Manager Job DescriptionJob Title: Computer Technician Manager
Credentials: Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
Education: High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional
Technology, Instructional Psychology, Instructional Design, Computer Education,
and Educational Leadership or related computer education field preferred.
Experience with computer systems, common peripherals and computer software.
Must have some skills in hardware installation and troubleshooting.
Training or experience required: 5 years of work experience
preferred in one or more areas of technical support or
management (troubleshooting of computers and printers,
provisioning of devices, state testing support, basic repairs of
devices) Certifications/endorsement preferred but not required.

Contract: 260 days

FLSA Classification: Non-exempt
Essential Job Functions:Supervises and performs annual evaluations of the Tech Support team members
Serve as liaison between Computer Technician Team and Department management
Provide training, guidance and support to the Computer Technician Team
Facilitate collaboration between Computer Technician Team and other technology
departments
Oversee inventory, repairs, deployment, maintenance and replacement of all district owned devices
Analyze existing processes/systems to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
Research industry standards to ensure our processes and systems remain compliant and up to
date
Develop training documentation for processes and procedures performed by the Computer
Technician Team work with district testing coordinators and other TSC staff to ensure devices are on the correct
operating system, have the proper software, are connecting to the proper network for
upcoming standardized tests as well as ensuring each site has a plan to facilitate testing from
the technology standpoint
Facilitate procurement of materials necessary for team to complete jobs
Perform other duties as assigned

Successful performance of the job requires good customer service/people skills and to handle
problems and provide information and technical assistance as requested. It requires complying with
safety guidelines and policies to reduce accident or injury to staff or to students. It requires following
school dress standards, proper attendance or leave policies, and other work-habits concerns for staff.
Creativity, initiative and effective problem solving are critical to the success of the position.Help
manage the computerization of school district operations. Provide training and support to district staff
in the use of administrative computer systems. Perform such tasks to the ultimate benefit of the
educational program. An incumbent in this position will utilize discretion, ingenuity and independent
judgment due to the complexity of the job. Since there may be several ways to solve a problem, an
incumbent is free to choose the solution. In a workday, the employee must stand/walk 4 hours per
day. Employee's job requires frequent bending/stooping, squatting/crouching, crawling/kneeling, and
pushing/pulling; occasional climbing (6-foot ladder) and reaching above the shoulders. Employee's
job requires occasional carrying/lifting of up to 50 pounds to move computers and printers.
