Job description
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for using 3D CAD and SolidWorks software to create 3D CNC/CAM designs, as well as performing GD&T, AutoPol and NC Express operations, and utilizing ERP systems to manage the engineering process. This position requires a combination of strong engineering skills and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
The key responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer include:
- Develop 3D CNC/CAM designs and drawings using 3D CAD and SolidWorks software.
- Perform GD&T, AutoPol and NC Express operations.
- Manage the engineering process by utilizing ERP systems.
- Partner with other engineering teams to ensure designs meet customer requirements.
- Provide technical support to machine shop personnel.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical design and manufacturing issues.
- Maintain up to date engineering design databases.
The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Design or related engineering field.
- 3+ years of experience in 3D CAD and SolidWorks.
- Experience with GD&T, ERP, AutoPol, NC Express, Calipers and Micrometers.
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
