As a strategic partner, the Senior HR Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) position serves as a consultant to management on Human Resources related issues and acts as an employee champion and change agent, aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The Sr. HRBP position assesses and anticipates HR related needs and communicates those needs proactively within the HR department and with business management. The Sr. HRBP seeks to develop integrated solutions and delivers value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The Sr. HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.

JOB SUMMARY
- Meets regularly with leadership and staff to stay in touch with business needs.
- Responsible for all aspects of the recruiting cycle for assigned business units.
- Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
- Identifies and analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations when necessary.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Develops documentation for new hires, promotions and transfers.
- Identifies staff training needs for assigned business units and individual coaching opportunities.
- Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Acts as an advisor to other HR staff on areas of expertise.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 7 - 10 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Professional in Human Resources Certification (PHR) and/or Society of Human Resources Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, recruiting, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment law.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, and policies.
- Effectively envision, develop, and implement new strategies to address complex employee issues.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-directed and motivated.
- Ability to take initiative to identify and anticipate employee and manager needs and make recommendations for creative solutions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to travel between the different SWK locations.
