Job description
We are a leading provider of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural engineering services for various sectors, including commercial, residential, industrial, and institutional. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team and work on exciting projects across the Houston area.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components, such as HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and energy systems, in accordance with codes, standards, and client requirements
- Preparing and reviewing mechanical drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports using AutoCAD, Revit, and other software tools
- Coordinating with other engineers, architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure the quality and timely delivery of projects
- Conducting site visits, inspections, and commissioning activities as needed
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting to clients and field personnel
- Keeping up to date with the latest technologies and trends in mechanical engineering
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or the ability to obtain one within 6 months
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the consulting industry
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other engineering software tools
- Knowledge of ASHRAE, ASME, NFPA, IBC, and other applicable codes and standards
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- A willingness to travel occasionally and work on multiple projects simultaneously
