Job Details:

Summary:
As a Senior Associate, you will specialize in affordable housing finance and real estate, guiding clients through acquisitions, financing, and syndication processes. Your role will involve representing nonprofit affordable housing developers in complex real estate development projects, collaborating closely with lenders and investors to structure transactions utilizing various financing sources across California.

Responsibilities:
- Apply advanced legal analysis and transactional skills in real estate, corporate governance, secured transactions, and partnership tax.
- Manage workload, supervise junior associates, and cultivate client relationships.
- Review letters of intent, identify critical points for partner input, and manage economic projections.
- Write opinions independently and oversee closing logistics.
- Communicate effectively internally and externally, nurturing client and staff relationships.
- Delegate tasks and oversee projects conducted by junior team members.

Skills Needed:
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities, with excellent communication and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail, including proficiency in proofreading for contextual, grammatical, typographical, and spelling errors.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, liaising effectively with partners, attorneys, and clients.
- Enthusiastic team player with a strong work ethic and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in IT systems and office software, including Microsoft Suite and Google Docs.

Requirements:
- JD from an accredited institution.
- Preferably licensed to practice law, or willing to obtain licensure with the California Bar.
- 7+ years of experience in an Affordable Housing practice setting.
- Experience with the acquisition, development, and financing of multi-family housing projects.
- Proficiency in negotiating and drafting complex legal documents.
- Familiarity with low-income housing tax credits and tax-exempt bonds.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $ 175,000.00 250,000.00 Per Year
