POSTDOCTORAL POSITION AVAILABLE IN ANCA-ASSOCIATED VASCULITIS RESEARCH
The Specks Laboratory investigates the molecular interactions of antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA) with their target antigens, and their role in the pathogenesis of autoimmune small vessel vasculitis. Our work aims to develop novel precision tools to identify and selectively target antigen-specific pathogenic B lymphocytes in patients with ANCA-associated vasculitis (AAV) with the ultimate goal to achieve a cure for AAV.
As a Postdoctoral Scientist, you are expected to be proficient with standard molecular and cellular biology and immunology techniques. You will be able to plan and conduct experiments independently but in close cooperation and in consultation with the Principal Investigator, other Research Scientists and Research Team Members. You may also develop, adapt, and implement new research techniques and protocols. Curiosity, enthusiasm for discovery and team spirit are essential.

A Research Fellow position in Life Sciences (LS) will require knowledge of either clinical-based research or laboratory-based research often obtained from a postdoctoral program.
A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide training and education in research. Individuals will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications and should become competitive for national research grants. Proof of English proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic. QualificationsMust have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program. Research Fellow is appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere.
