Job Schedule: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Mon - Fri plus 7:00 AM-2PM on Sat

About the role: The Bench Hand is a member of the Manufacturing Support Team. This role is responsible for creating and repairing the dies used in our cold-heading processes. The perfect candidate will have experience working in cold heading. Keys to success in this role are experience working with steel and carbide, ability to work in a team environment, and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities:
Set up Surface Grinders
Read and use calipers and micrometers and bore gages
Participate in 5S housekeeping Follow established safety rules and regulations
Make and repair dies for cold forming equipment
Utilize toolroom equipment appropriately and efficiently
Document repairs and changes as required
Communicate progress on repairs to appropriate personnel
Advise appropriate personnel of problems causing delays to repairs or assigned tasks
Provide input and feedback on dies, tools, and processes
Other tasks as assigned

Mechanically inclined
Possess basic computer skills
Able to work in a team environment
Able to read job instructions
Able to complete required paperwork
Able to pass a pre-employment, post-offer physical, drug screen
Able to pass a background check Preferred 1 year Machine shop experience
Able to pass a background check
Preferred 1 year Machine shop experience
Experienced in sizing and making dies for cold forming equipment
Able to read blueprint and work in tenths of thousandths
Able to operate and read all types of measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges
Highly skilled with lathes, surface grinders, centerless grinders, lapping and polishing lathes
Able to operate 250 ton press to disassemble die assemblies and reassemble and size afterwards
Self-driven and self-motivated; able to work without constant supervision
Dependable, accountable, and follows safety requirements
Willing to learn MNP's processes and procedures
