Job description

Dental Care Alliance is currently seeking a AVP of Procurement. This person determines strategy, and oversees and directs all aspects of purchasing, product data management and inventory; designs and executes strategies and system to evolve and deliver on primary objectives to achieve the company’s supply chain while achieving budget and profitability goals.

· Leadership over the supply chain functionality, fiscal management, and forecasting of supply chain, financial markets, and regulatory environments

· Development and implementation of a best in class supply chain management infrastructure

· Maintain the accuracy of data, dashboards, and metrics (input and issuance from inventory, labor reporting, quoting modules, etc.)

· Forecasting of future state within the dental and other industries to deliver anticipated changes to budget workflows

· Leads effort to build a diverse supplier base to ensure contingency planning and redundancy within the supply chain to ensure effective patient access and profitability of practice locations

· Develop, document, and secure approval process relative to purchasing and expense management; develop and implement procedures to ensure efficient and effective services with all organizational policies and procedures

· Responsible and accountable for departmental budgets and capital equipment; manages resources within budget guidelines.

· Provide leadership to develop distribution and logistics support to field operations and centralized support functions.

· Establish and maintain effective communication throughout organization, delivery of effective reporting to all internal and external clients in a proactive and effective manner

· Leadership over coordination with the appropriate department(s) and/or person(s) to ensure customer requests and/or needs are exceeded, delivery of proactive coaching and mentoring to affiliate members to anticipate changes in regulatory or financial marketplaces.

· Representing the organization at trade association meetings, conventions, and client meetings

· Accountable for analyzing and controlling expenditures of the department to conform with budget requirements.

· Leadership and management of cost controls, negotiations, and fiscal hygiene of all procurement efforts enterprise wide.

Contract management and negotiation of high value contracts.

Bachelor’s degree or relevant military or professional experience required, Master’s degree preferred

· 7-10+ years of production control/supply chain management experience. Preferably in the dental/DSO or medical environment.

· 3+ years of leadership in control/supply chain management, enterprise leadership and accountability is strongly preferred

· Experience with purchasing, expediting, and quality/continuous improvement initiatives, designing safety practices and relevant software applications.

· Significant knowledge and experience in supply chain and financial forecasting, development of predictive modeling and financial evaluation.

· Expert level knowledge of large negotiations, with major suppliers in excess of $10mm annual spend
