Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Performance Testing and Optimization:
- Execute end-to-end performance testing initiatives across our power and utility applications.
- Utilize JMeter and Playwright to automate front-end performance testing.
- Develop comprehensive performance test plans, scenarios, and scripts, with a particular emphasis on system efficiency.
- Monitoring and Analysis:
- Implement and maintain performance monitoring solutions using Splunk for real-time visibility into system behavior.
- Analyze and interpret performance data to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Test Automation:
- Leverage expertise in test automation to contribute to the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks using Git Actions.
- Integrate performance testing into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure early identification and resolution of performance issues.
- Database Performance Testing:
- Conduct thorough performance testing on SQL and Postgres databases, collaborating with backend teams to optimize database performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with development, testing, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of performance testing into the software development lifecycle.
- Communicate performance testing results and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- AWS Integration:
- Work closely with the backend development team to optimize application and database performance on AWS.
- Leverage AWS services to design and implement scalable and high-performance solutions.
- Full-Stack Testing:
- Contribute to various testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing, ensuring a comprehensive testing approach.
Qualifications:
- Green card or U.S. citizenship status is mandatory.
- Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in performance engineering.
- Strong expertise in performance testing tools such as JMeter and Playwright.
- Proven experience with Splunk for performance monitoring and analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS backend services and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Git Actions for automation within a CI/CD environment.
- Experience in the power and utility domain is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
