Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (REST API)

Work Location: Dearborn, Michigan

Type: Contract on W2

Our client is seeking a senior Software Engineer proficient in developing REST APIs using Java, Kotlin, and Springboot/Spring framework. As part of a 10-person product team, you will utilize eXtreme Programming, TDD, and cloud technologies like PCF, GCP, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Tekton. The ideal candidate will excel in pair programming environments, delivering high-quality, tested code following Lean/Agile practices. Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and UI development using Angular Javascript framework is advantageous

Skills Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
5+ years of experience in Object-Oriented development with Java, Kotlin, Springboot/Spring framework
5+ years of experience writing unit and integration tests Passion for learning and adeptness in pair programming

Skills Preferred:
1+ years of experience in UI Development using Angular, React, or similar Javascript frameworks

Experience Required:
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design Principles
Knowledge of eXtreme Programming (XP) practices including Pair/Mob programming and Test-first/Test Driven Development (TDD)
Experience with cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform, Pivotal Cloud Foundry Proficiency in Spring/SpringBoot and RESTFUL Web services development, Google's Cloud Run Familiarity with SQL databases
Experience with Agile Tools such as CA Agile Central (Rally), backlogs, iterations, user stories
Effective collaboration skills with technical specialists, Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, and business partners
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and solve unexpected problems Experience Preferred:

Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
