POS Installation & Support Specialist I

Reports To

POS Installation & Support Manager

Job Purpose

The POS Support Technician will travel around to businesses in the MA,RI, and CT areas and help install POS equipment as well as provide support to their equipment on a as need basis. They will also have an in-depth knowledge of Payroc POS products as well as understand several different software platforms associated with the equipment. Company car is provided for travel.

Duties and Responsibilities

• In-Depth knowledge of all Payroc POS Products
• Conduct training and product support to all entities
• Installations: For numerous POS, this person will need to be educated and have a deep knowledge of the POS systems to aid in installations and on-going support when it’s necessary to provide on-site assistance
• On-Going Support: The POS Support Specialist will be responsible for documenting issues and resolution status per incident and follow-up with POS Manager for resolution as well as communicate with the merchant to ensure satisfactory outcomes
• Equipment and Services Ordering/Inventory: The POS Support Specialist should be involved in the installation planning phase of setting up NEW accounts. This includes telephone support, after hours support, coordinating menu builds, and remote training with POS software and the merchant

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Critical thinker with proven problem-solving abilities
• Ability to be productive with limited supervision
• POS experience required
• Basic networking knowledge is required
• Great interpersonal communication skills and conflict resolution
• Driver’s License
