Job description
Gadge USA was established in 1993. Our company is a national packaging supply and supply-chain solutions company with an expansive distribution network. We manage packaging portfolios across multiple categories, combined with a scalable service model, which delivers packaging solutions and continuous improvement to our customers.
We are currently recruiting a Logistics Specialist, reporting to our Senior Manager, Logistics. In this role, you will be responsible for working extensively with third-party logistics providers (3PLs). In this role, you will be responsible for managing the logistics operations, including receiving purchase orders, verifying invoices for payment, and reconciling inventory. Your expertise in 3PL management and strong analytical skills will contribute to optimizing our supply chain processes and ensuring efficient and accurate handling of goods and services.
What You Will Do:
Warehouse Management
- Receive purchase orders from 3PL partners and ensure accurate and timely entry into the procurement system.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with 3PL partners, serving as the main point of contact for day-to-day operational matters.
- Proactively address any issues or challenges that arise, working closely with 3PL partners to implement effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile physical inventory with system data on a regular basis.
- Conduct regular cycle counts, spot checks, and physical audits to identify and resolve any discrepancies or variances.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement and finance, to ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory information.
- Verify and reconcile invoices from 3PL providers for payment processing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contractual terms.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to logistics operations, inventory levels, and 3PL performance.
- Generate regular reports on key logistics metrics, such as inventory accuracy, order processing accuracy, and transportation costs.
- Identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement based on data analysis, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of logistics strategies and initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Freight
- Coordinate and perform activities related to all of Gadge’s freight requirements
- Quote, coordinate, and track domestic and international shipments
- Establish positive relationships and rapport with Gadge’s domestic and international freight forwarders
- Create and resolve freight-related issues to ensure on-time delivery
- Analyze freight costs and find opportunity for cost improvements
Requirements
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, operations, logistics, or a related field (preferred) OR equivalent work experience
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, perform quantitative analysis, and generate meaningful insights.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reconciling inventory and managing documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and 3PL providers.
- Proficiency in using relevant software applications and tools, such as ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Proven experience in logistics operations, preferably with a focus on managing 3PL relationships.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory management, and transportation logistics.
- Familiarity with purchase order management systems and invoice verification processes.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in logistics and supply chain management.
- Knowledge of Sage MAS100 ERP system.

This role will be based in our office located at 3000 Marcus Avenue, Suite 3E03, Lake Success, NY 11042.
The salary range for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 commensurate with the candidate's experience.
