QC Microbiologist
Salary: $60k - $75k
Location/Schedule: Mon-Fri first shift, onsite in Valencia
Requirements: B.S. in Chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology or similar + 4 years of microbiology experience in a lab

What You Will Be Doing

- Execute microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
- Oversee external lab-conducted microbiological testing for compliance.
- Ensure timely testing execution.
- Contribute to developing the environmental monitoring program.
- Verify product, equipment, cleaning, and sanitizing procedures.
- Author and/or endorse validation protocols and reports.
- Manage microbiology laboratory equipment and calibrations.
- Investigate and document out-of-specification results.
- Provide training on microbiology, cleaning, and sanitation protocols.
- Ensure meticulous documentation for all tests and activities.
- Develop and maintain the facility cleaning and sanitization master plan.
- Engage in internal and external quality audits.
- Regularly update the Quality Control Supervisor.

What You Need for this Position

3+ years of post grad microbiology lab experience, in addition to:
- B.S. or higher in Microbiology or a related field
- Quality Control experience preferred
- Technical knowledge of microbiological testing methods
- Clear communication skills.
- Commitment to safety and compliance.

Bonus points if you have experience in the pharma or similar biotech related field!
