Job description

Lead Educator

We are hiring a friendly and outgoing Lead Educator to join our team! Our Lead Educators develop and facilitate learning experiences for the Johnny Morris Foundation which includes Ancient Ozarks Natural History Museum, the Lost Canyon Cave Trail, Dogwood Canyon, and Wonders of Wildlife. Lead Educators get to develop programs, work with our ambassador animals, and help our guests learn more about conservation.

Lead Educators are full-time hourly staff that work with volunteers, animal keepers, educators, and more. This lead will be a point person on summer camps, programs, shows, and get to engage with guests at on and off site programs. This is someone with great organizational skills, comfortable with public speaking, and excited about conservation.

A day in the life of a Lead Educator

Lead Educators have and important role within the education department. Wonders of Wildlife facilitates many types of education and conservation programs from summer camps, birthday parties, discovery stations, to field experiences. Lead Educators will interact with guests of all ages in museum talks, nature talks, discovery stations guided tours, and host animal encounters. Lead Educators strive to help all guests learn something new at each visit to our property.
